HISTORY DECIDED!!This currency comes ONLY from towns that were part of Germany but that were ceded to Poland as a result of Plebiscites, WW1 or WW2!! Interestingly enough, most of the notes in our greater collection on this theme represents towns that Poland gained after WW2!! The reason for this is that most of them were issued after WW1 (usually between 1919 and 1922) and Germany already losing territory as a result of the Treaty of Versailles.Almost all the notes display the German name and are printed in German, which indicates how solidly German was entrenched in what became disputed territories. Some may be in both Polish and German (one language each side) and/or commemorate a plebiscite wherein the town voted whether to stay in Germany or become part of Poland! Our collection is almost entirely one-of-a-kind. Therefore you will not receive the exact selection in the scan. You will however definitely receive 10 (TEN!) different original high grade banknotes printed in full color on 2 sides that are guaranteed to be from towns once considered German but that are now Polish. Satisfaction guaranteed! You can google the Polish name from the German name if the latter is not familiar to you. Every note will be dated between 1919 and 1922!!!If you are looking for a specific German or Polish town, please email. If we have it, it can added to the collection. There may be a small additional charge if rarity and condition are deserving thereof.A few examples: Koenigshuette = now Chorzo, Laurahuette = now Laury, Friedeberg = now Strselce Krajeneki, Krakow (self explanatory), Dassow = Daszewo, Koeslin = Koszalin, Koenigsber Neumark - Chojna. This currency represents the last paper remnants of once German communities that became Polish!! This makes them a prized addition to any collection of German and/or Polish paper! Please note that we also have stamps and coins from erstwhile German towns that are now a part of Poland. Most notes remain in uncirculated or nearly uncirculated condition as they were originally handpicked from old collections. Anything below that will be at least Very Fine to Extra Fine (usually only the rarest ones show signs of circulation). If you want 20 different or more, please use the Quantity Box for additional lots of 10 different, and SAVE ON SHIPPING!! Amazing early 20th Century Polish and German (and World!) history!!!
