This item is an antique stuffed mohair & wool-dressed rabbit, a Johnny Gruelle (of Raggedy Ann fame) character that he illustrated in Nina Wilcox Putnam\'s Sunny Bunny. This Sunny Bunny doll stands about 11 1/2\" tall with his ears flopped down. He hasjointed arms & head. He has been played with and shows wear & repair to the back of his green felt jacket anda red patch where his \"cotton\" tail was. His clothes are sewn-on as part of his body with a green & darkened white jacket with two original buttons over red pants with black & darkened white spat shoes. He has a stitched nose & mouth and glass eyes. He has darkened pink velvet lined floppy ears with one little tear on one side of one ear. I have found him an old black hat. Mohair paws. Rare & very hard to find character, comes with an old well-worn Sunny Bunny book inscribed \"1935 Violet Mae Porch From Mother.\"
