12 pcs Antique circa 1890\'s art tiles made by J + JG Low of Chelsea, Ma. Marked on the backs. Each Measure 4-1/4\" x 4-1/4\" x 3/8\" thick.
Low was known for stepping outside the box and designed many tiles that have patterns similar to fabrics, wallpaper and textiles. These have a series of very fine lines carved into the mould, with pixelated dots. These are the only tiles of this design that I\'ve seen in 20 years of dealing .
Some edge chips as seen in the photos. The dots are slightly raised and there are rubs to the glaze and some light abrasion.
