Weare pleased to offer you this lovely antique German DOLLY FACE girl doll. Incised on the back of her bisque head is \"Armand Marseille, 390 n, Germany, A 4/0M\". Reference tells me 1910 Germany by Armand Marseille., The letter \"n\" is known as \"dolly face\" mold. This doll is a antique bisque socket head on vintagewood composition jointed body that is strung fine being jointed at the neck, shoulders, elbows, wrist,legs and knees with all fingers intact. I believe this doll body has been re-painted, I do not know the past restoration history of this doll. She has a \"sweet\" dolly face withopen and closebrown glass sleepy eyes that work fine, painted lashes around the eyes, retains most wax on eye lids, single strokebrown brows, she has open mouth with upper teeth intact, a faint little dimple in her chin.There is plaster cement inside the headthat was to secure the sleepy eyes on rocker as some doll people do.I flashed inside the headand see no cracks inside but do noticetwo tiny chips in the bisque at the front forehead rim area, and a small chip on the back of the rim, see photos. Head is together intact but need to mention.Her peach and white lace Turn of the Century drop waist dress is lovely with snaps down the back, it is clean.She wears slip, pantaloons, stockings and shoe. Clothing like this doll are in nice condition.I have taken plenty of photos. Please look at my photos they will serve as part of this description.
