Description: Up for sale is a gorgeous 14kYellow Gold and Ruby Art Deco Fan Style Fur Pin/Pin Clip. This pin is agedaround the 1930’s – 1940’s, when fur pins were the cutting edge of fashion.They were mainly worn on heavy clothes such as suits, coats and some dresses,not on fur as the name suggests. The sharp prongs would have ruined the pelts.This pin is fashioned in the art deco geometric style as a ridged fan. Set in asemi-circle on the fan are nine faceted rubies. The rubies are a beautiful deeppinkish-red, set in white gold to enhance the color of the stone. The clip on theback is in great working condition, with 3 small notches in the pin posts. The pinis pre-owned, but in beautiful condition, note the pictures for detail.
