DESCRIPTION:
I am pleased to offer you this lovely antique German DOLLY FACE girl doll. Incised on the back of her bisque head is \"370, AM 7/0 DEP, Armand Marseille, Made in Germany\". Reference tells me 1910 Germany she was made by Armand Marseille. DEP is a registered trade mark or claim used by both the French and Germans. This doll is a bisque shoulder head, bisque arms with fingers on right hand intact, the left hand shows the finger tips scuffed off at the tips. Body is kid leather being sawdust filled, no leakage, overall wear, the upper right arm has been replaced. I do not know her past history just what I see. She has a \"sweet\" dolly facewith open and close brown glass sleepy eyes that work fine, painted painted lashes around the eyes,brown brows, red accent dots in the corner of eyes and nostrils, she has open mouth with upper teeth intact, there is a faint little dimple in her chin. Light blush accents her lovely face. Her replacement dark blonde wig is attached to a styrofoam pate that goes over her head. I flashed around the bisque shoulder head and do not see any cracks or hairlines. Doll wears a charming light purple dress with lace accents that snaps down the back, antique pantaloons, slip, vintage stockings and shoes. There is a beautiful necklace around her neck.
