Portuguese work on the lifeand writings of the Dominican Father Henry Suso (German Heinrich Seuse), noted and influential mystical writer of the medievalage. Born in 1295 or 1297 from a rulingfamily of the state of Berg (Rhineland), died in the Imperial city of Ulm in1366. Father Henry Suso, was beatifiedby the Catholic Church in 1831.

Enlarged Portuguese edition enrichedwith a study of the life and work of the Portuguese Dominican Frei Luis deSousa (1555-1632).

Great Provenance: With a manuscriptinscription by Visconde de Azevedo (Portuguese bibliographer) referring that thebook was given to him as a gift from Luis Monteverde Da Cunha Lobo (renowned Portuguese bibliophile of the 19thcentury).
