Condition:

This is a well used, antique item from 1778. The tooled leather binding is in decent shape for the age. The top of the spine has some damage and it\'s missing one strap closure, the other strap isn\'t in great shape, but it\'s still there and the metal is still on that strap. One of the top corners is missing. The second page of the Bible has some family inscriptions, theyare written in German, and unfortunately, we don\'t speak or read German, so we\'re not sure what they say, but we can tell the first inscription is from 1837. The pages are thicker thanthe averageAmerican Bible and are in pretty good condition aside from the edges andI have not come across anythat have rips or folds. The black is very black, the red is very red. The binding is starting to come apart in the beginning of the Bible. Overall, I\'d say it\'s in fair condition.
