ORIGINAL 5 3/4\" X 3 7/8\" partly printed document dated 1788 for collecting tax for year 1788 from Mr. Thomas Bateman for twenty-five pounds eight shillings, 8 pence.
Signed by: ALEXANDER HODGDON, Treasurer. Hodgdon (1741-1797) was a mate on the DARTMOUTH when raided by the Rebels at the BOSTON TEA PARTY.
A beautiful,famous and clear signature on original laid paper.
Condition: Extremely good. Has been folded.
