There is also, in addition to the color outline map of the country, a color map of Phelps and Gorhams purchase of 1790. The text appears in double columns.Contains a few pages with information on the 33rd, 44th, 98th, 111th, 138th, and 160th New York regiments; the 1st Regiment Veteran Cavalry; the 8th and 22nd New York Volunteer Cavalry
Contains 216 pages Decorative Leather. Width: 12\" Height: 14.5\" Weighs close to nine pounds. Bound in quarter dark brown leather and brown cloth over beveled boards. The spine and the front cover have stamped gilt lettering and ornamental designs. The decorative designs on the front cover are blind stamped on the rear cover.
The book shows external wear, with significant rubbing on spine, frayed & chipped edges, title page split but still connected, about six pages starting to loosen but also still connected, some pencil writing on several pages.The pages are largely clean and bright, with only a small amount of light foxing/offsetting.
