Please note that I will be separately listing two antique reverse painted mezzotints today.This is an 1800 antique reverse painted Mezzotint on early glass titled Mary Magdalene Washing Christ\'s Feet. Unfortunately, it\'s damaged.Approximately 15% of the print has separated from the glass and a lot of that has crackled/torn.There is a hole measuring approximately 1 inch (2.54 cm) x 1/4 inch (.63 cm) and tears all around that (this is the worst damage).The frame has scuffs, scratch marks and some paint loss. It has its original hanging ring on top.The frame measures overall 16 inches x 12 inches (40.6 cm x 30.5 cm). The mezzotint measures 14 1/2 inches by 10 1/2 inches (36.8 cm x 26.7 cm).The print is in its original frame. It appears that the back was taken off at one point and another piece of glass put there to protect the print.Even given the damage, the colors are bright and sharp. On the bottom it says: Mary Magdalene Washing Christ\'s Feet
Below that: Published Dec. 1, 1800, by I. Hinton No. 44, top of Well Street, Oxford Street, London
To the right of that it says: Luke Chp. VII ver. 38. The piece weighs 2 lbs. 15 oz. (1.33 kg).
