1800\'s Paint Decorated Hanging Tin Spill / Rush / Match Holder / AAFA NR:

This little tin spill or match holder was gifted to my source back in the 1960\'s. It still has its old tiny sticker on the back saying \"Gift\".It dates to the mid to late 1800\'s and is constructed of rolled tin. The seams are soldered and it has its original hanging tab on the top back. Originally it had mustard paint with black flourishes on the front. Most of the paint is gone, leaving an awesome dark patina. These were hung by the fireplace and this one still has a few OLD wooden matches.
Dimensions: 4-1/2\" wide x 1-7/8\" front to back x 8\" tall including the tab.
