Up for sale is this rare 1804 copy of \"The Pennsylvania Farmer; Being a Selection from the Most Approved Treatises on Husbandry, Interspersed with Observations and Experiments.\" The book is overall in good condition. The leather covers have some wear as illustrated in the photos. The Pennsylvania is shortened to \"Pennsylvan\" on the spine label, and the \"P\" in Pennsylvan is missing. The leather joints are cracked only about an inch towards the bottom of the book; the binding of the book is still good and strong. The pages are tanned with age with the occasional foxing/staining. Some pages may have some tears, chips, creased page corners, or other minor imperfections. Page 216 has some tears with a small hole near the center of the page that affects the text (please see the 9th photo). All in all a nice rare early American book on farming and agriculture with some sections on wine, cider, fruit trees, wheat, barley, cattle, sheep, butter, purifying salt, etc. Please look at all the photos to further note the condition and feel free to message me with any questions you might have.
