This is a complete two volume set of \"The Works of William Hogarth;\" in a Series of Engravings: With Descriptions, and A Comment on their Moral tendency. By the Rev. John Trusler. To which are added, Anecdotes of the Author and his Works, by J. Hogarth and J. Nichols. Printed in London in 1833 by C. Davies, 13 Duke Street, Lincoln\'s Inn Fields. Published by Jones and Co. Temple of the Muses (Late Lackington\'s,) Finsbury Square.

Both volumes are bound in identical fine half leather bindings (spines, gutters, corners), and they have marble effect hardback boards. The page fore edges are decorated in marble effect design also. The spines have four thick raised bands, gilt decoration to raised bands also, blindstamped/tooled panels/compartments, and leather title and volume panels with gilt lettering. Containinga combined amount of 108 bengraved plates, with dimensions to each volume of 10.8\" x 8.5\" x 1.2\" thick, and the combined weight is over 2kg unpacked.
