Interesting mixed lot of two CTletters:
- 1845 Middletown - long 3pp+ letter of Marianne C. Wilcox to her brother Cyrus Coe in New London. Much content -- believes Uncle Hale has \"poisoned\" mind of grandmother in Middlefield, will take money; Charles Miller took$8m from the County Bank; Gov. Bartlett involved -married one of the Christmas heirs; sale to sell Post Office, property; writer thought she would inherit $15m - now nothing. More - factory may close, mansion house closed; sleighing.
- 1834 New London - 1p E. M. Frink & Co. with interesting comments re the financial woes of the era - accepting New York money; paper of the Interior Banks.
