This is a great c1840 miniature painted folk frame. Oxblood red base with some faint graining. Nicely shimmed construction with original primitive wire hanger. Frame is in excellent shape with only minor wear. Measures 6 1/2 x 7 3/4 with a 5 x 6 1/8 rabbet. Perfect for a school reward, bookplate, painting or portrait.Please email with any questions.
