This antique stampless folded letter features a beautiful woodcut engraving of Malta Harbor on the top half of the four page letter. The letter is dated \"Malta January 26, 1843\" is addressed to George B. Peck Esq. Boston\" and is signed M.J.Buell. Apparently Mrs. Buel is writing to her brother George. It is apparent from the letter that the Buels are living in Malta (they may be missionaries) and are expecting some items sent from Boston aboard the ship \"Nautillus\" that is do to arrive soon. On the last page of this four page letter Mrs. Buel writes that Mr. Buell is sending a case of \"St.Paul\'s Bay\" aboard the \"Nautillus\". This interesting 171 year old letter has one smallhole where the letter was sealed otherwise very good condition! !
