A mid nineteenth century copy of this novel by GPR James.

With the bookplate of one Henry Foley to the front pastedown.

George Payne Rainsford James was an English novelist and historical writer. He is best known for his novel Richelieu: A Tale of France. His writing in the romance genre was agreat success and he wrote up to 100 volumes of work.

CONDITION

In a half calf binding with paper covered boards. Externally, generally smart with patches of heavy rubbing to the paper covered boards, joints and extremities. Small losses to the paper covered boards, Heavy rubbing to the head and tail of spine. Prior owner\'s bookplate to front pastedown, Henry Foley. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are slightly age toned with spotting to the first and last few pages. The odd spot throughout. Overall: GOOD.
