<<<<<<1859:\"THE SCOURING OF THE WHITE HORSE\": stated \"AUTHOR\'S EDITION\": illustrated is a very nice, authentic 156 year old book printed at Boston in 1859 entitled \"THE SCOURING OF THE WHITE HORSE; OR, THE LONG VACATION RAMBLE OF A LONDON CLERK\" by the Author of \"Tom Brown\'s School Days\". The book was published by Ticknor and Fields, and is a stated \"AUTHOR\'S EDITION\", \"FIFTH THOUSAND\".

The book measures 7-1/4\"x5\"x1-1/4\" and contains 324 numbered pages preceded by an advertisement page, and followed by an additional 16 numbered pages of advertisements, with all pages including the front and rear end pages, a frontispiece engraving, and numerous other full page engravings being present and well attached, with pages showing mild generalized overall age discoloration, occasional minor foxing, with all text clear and legible. The book retains the original dark blue, embossed, pebbled cloth covered boards, with semi-moderate corner wear and rounding, mild edge wear, unbroken hinges, with the gold embossed spine intact, with some wear to the top and bottom, and several small tears of cloth. The book is complete and being listed as in about good condition.
