1860 Presidential Campaign, Handcolored Currier and Ives Print, Beardless Abraham Lincoln Portrait titled, “Republican Candidate for President,” Bold Very Fine.
A Very Rare, original Handcolored Currier and Ives Print with a central Portrait of a Beardless Abraham Lincoln, measuring 9.5” x 13.75” overall. Light soiling and smudging at bottom, some restorations at top edge corners, loss to upper right corner, laid down upon a white backing. The Lincoln Image is bright and bold, overall condition is nice for display. Oval imprint of Lincoln’s Bust with facsimile signature “A. Lincoln” below. Also with the inscription reading, “Hon. Abraham Lincoln, Republican Candidate for Sixteenth President of the United States.” Bright, clear sharp print with nice colors making this a handsome presentation.
