1861 CIVIL WAR “NAVAL EXPEDITION” BROADSIDE by A.W. HARMON, CELEBRATES UNION WIN. Harmon was a prolific poet and printer in Portland, Maine, active between the 1840s and 1870s. “Naval Expedition” celebrates the fall of Port Royal, South Carolina, to DuPont’s Union fleet in 1861. It features an ornamental border and a cut of a sidewheeler gunboat flanked by American Flags. It measures 8 inches X 12 inches; minor loss to lower right corner and a few light stains.
