Estate purchase this 1862 Civil War Letterhead and Letter a man from Wisconsin who had been sick enlisted in Wisconsin Infantry as the Infantry was lacking some of being full and every one seemed to think that he would be the last call to fill the requirements..There were War Meeting after War Meeting.It seemed so hard for them to raise men,that I made up my mind that I would go as it was my duty to enlist.mother and father said I would not be able to stand camp life.I had not been well since I was discharged before being mustered In.Other info not related to the war.Very unusual letterhead with damage.
