Great letter home to his sister from Charles B. Predmore , 22nd Regiment Michigan Infantry. Union Army Private.
The night before he wrote this letter, he was on guard duty in Lexington, KY. He could see the monument to Henry Clay from where he was camped. So the camp was near Main St. Henry Clay\'s monument is in the now Lexington Cemetery. He also mentions marching by Clay\'s farm.
He was using his knee on which he wrote this letter.
Private Predmore died just a few months later from illness, and is buried in National Cemetery in Lexington.
