1862 For $25,000 . Very Fine Condition. Punch cancelled. Signed and issued to the Secretary of Treasury. CSA .Edward Elmore. In August 1864 a local editor accused Elmore and Secretary of State Benjamin of Gambling away government funds at a private club. When the accusation was not withdrawn, Elmore demanded a duel. The two antagonists met at Belle Island and Elmore wounded his accuser(the wound was not fatal) Is this the bond that he may used for Gambling ? Cr# 108 Ball # 143.
