[1862 Illustrated Civil War Sheet Music] Hand-colored lithograph entitled \"General Burnside\'s Grand Triumphal March\" Published by Clapp & Cory of Providence R.I.. It is copyrighted 1862 by Russell & Tolman in the Clerks Office of the District Court of Mass. The top of the illustrated cover reads \"To Brigadier General A. E. Burnside, Commanding the 3rd Naval & Military Expedition to the South.\" This musical tribute celebrates Burnside\'s early successes along the North Carolina Coast in the first half of 1862. However, fame is fleeting. By the end of 1862 after losing the Battle of Fredericksburg, is appeal as a Union icon ended. The size is 10\' x 13\". It is 10 pgs. and complete. I have scanned only the first page of the music. Age browning at the lower 1/5, and four small holes where it had been previously bound and removed, o/w very good. Visually, very attractive.
