Light Tudor Hall Va, Feb 1, 1862 circular datestamp and \"Due 5\" in arc. Very scarce large pencil slash or \"1\" that many believe indicates the very scarce Richmond carrier service. Less than 20 known according to notes.
Front cover writing indicates Wm Sleighton Bagby from Co B, 1st Regt (Geo Rigby). Rear writing; W.S. Bagby, manassas va., jan. 30th 1862. wants to be discharged. Quick research reveals Mr Bagby as part of the 56th Virginia Infantry, Co B, 1st Private. Addressed to Hon. A. H. Shipkins(?), Richmond VA.
