NEAR FINE CONDITION: A tightly bound volume, solid hinges, clean pages, minor cover wear, complete with all pages; overall an excellent copy.

Here is the First Edition The Military Souvenir, an illustrated volume of Union army and navy heroes featuring 75 engravings on steel. The title page states this is volume I, but this was the only volume ever published.

Written by Colonel Frank J. Bramhall, companion to Admiral Farragut, he provides a brief biography before each portrait. Portraits include, but are not limited to: Ulysses S. Grant, Burnside, McClellan, Winfield Scott, Fremont, Butler, Dix, Curtis, Cassius M. Clay, Fitz John Porter, Farragut, Foote, Charles Wilkes, etc.
