Hand-signed into service sometime after February 17th, 1863, with a promise to pay the bearer,

ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS AND SIX PERCENT INTEREST, SIX MONTHS AFTER THE RATIFICATION OF A PEACE TREATY BETWEEN THE UNITED STATES AND THE CONFEDERATE STATES....(Remember, this is when the Confederacy was still confident that they would prevail....Then came their defeat at Gettysburg and Grant\'s Siege at Vicksburg(both on the 4th of July, 1863) and the terminology on Confederate Currency changed to \"TWO YEARS AFTER....\"

Who Knows?!

This bill might even have been in Robert E. Lee\'s vest pocket as he surrendered to Grant.
