In GOOD, but unique, condition. Right-half of the bill\'s front is VERY GOOD condition, it is clean, sharp minimally creased and only has two (2) very small chips plus one (1) folded corner. Left-half of bill\'s front is in fair condition, it is stained, dusty, moderately creased and has a 1½ inch split at a crease plus one (1) folded corner. This odd condition is due the fact that this bill was found on top of a tall antique wardrobe where it has sat for MANY, MANY years. It was found folded in half with the left-side facing up. Back side has minimal fading. Any flaws, if present, will be either written about here in the condition section of the listing OR visible in the photos. This sale is for an antique $500 Confederate States of America (CSA) banknote.BANKNOTE IS MARKED \"RICHMOND\" AND IS DATED FEBRUARY 17, 1864; THE SERIAL NUMBER IS \"18278\".THIS BANKNOTE HAS A VERY UNIQUE CONDITION DUE TO THE FACT THAT IT HAD LAIN FOLDED ON TOP OF A TALL WARDROBE FOR MANY YEARS, PERHAPS EVEN FROM THE TIME OF THE CIVIL WAR.
