DETAILS
Leather bound with gilt lettering to spine and cloth covered boards.
A first edition which is illustrated with lovely black and white in-text illustrations by William Henry Rogers.
Childrens story published anonymously by Lady Augusta Noel (nee Keppel), daughter of General George Thomas Keppel, and married to Ernest Noel. Born in 1873, she died on 31 January 1902 aged 63.
Scarce in the first edition.
CONDITION
The binding is firm and both covers are attached firmly. There is some wear to the extremities including some small chips to the spine and bumping of the corners. Internally the book is clean and bright apart from some isolated spots and handling marks. There is an ink signature to the two front blank end papers. Page 31 is becoming detached at the spine but is holding.
