Postal History
Excellent find here - Confederate Civil War document - dated June 20, 1864 from Hamilton County, Florida signed by Jas (James) Thomas and sent to Judge Henry J. Stewart. Thomas gives a report of food and financial aid distributed to the families and widows of Confederate soldiers killed or injured in the war.I count the names of 25 women - so this would represent quite a research project for a Florida Civil War historian.

FULL SCANS provided for your research benefit.
