This engraving of civil war commanders from 1867 is a grouping of small portraits, engraved by Van Ingen-Snyder. The engraving depicts Union General Winfield Scott in the center, surrounded by Union commanders Buell, Dix, Shields, Casey, Halleck, and Franklin. Verso has been left blank. This folded, tipped in print still has remnants of a sewn edge from being in the book, \"The Blue Coats, And How They Lived, Fought and Died For The Union\", from 1867. Has a few creases on opposite end of tipped edge, and some light ghosting of portraits from being folded, otherwise very nice condition for age. Ships in acid free, archival quality sleeve w/ acid free, archival quality backer board. Print measures approx. 7-3/4\" x 9\".
