1867 Salad Serving Set Austrian Sterling and French Ivory Bacchus or Green Man:
$139.00

Time to sell the family silver. On offer is an impressive salad serving set with handles that have the Austro Hungarian Empire sterling Diana mark in use from 1867 to 1872 on both pieces. The business end of the set is French Ivory, a man made product introduced in the 1860\'s to simulate natural ivory. The beautiful handles have a Bacchus or perhaps Green Man face on both the front and the reverse. The handles are in wonderful condition but the spoon has a chip at its tip and the fork has been repaired. That said this is a usable set. My family have served many salads with it over the years. Please see the pictures. The fork is 10 3/4\" and the spoon is 10 1/2\".This wonderful old set will makea lovely addition to an elegant table or to a collection of fine European silver. I am happy to combine domestic shipping. No international shipping.
