1868 Ulysses S. Grant Presidential Campaign Token Coin with Civil War Quote:

Up for grabs is an 1868 Grant brass coin or token from his election campaign with his image in profile on the front and a quote from him on the pack. The top is pierced to be hung from a string or ribbon. The piercing is original.
The coin is currently in the same protective package in which it was when my grandfather bought this years ago. I did not want to open it and risk any damage to the coin but can tell from looking at it encased that it is in very good condition and the surface has little wear. The coin does need a good cleaning as it has darkened over the years. I will leave that to its new owner!
The coin is 1 ⅛\" in diameter.
