Rare and original, 1870\'s Native American Sioux Indian Stereoview Photograph of a group of Sioux Women and Children in Camp. The View is titled in the negative \"Indian Squaws and Papooses\" and identified as being from a generic Series of Views titled \"American Scenery\".
This wonderful Native American Indian Stereo Photo measures approx. 6 7/8\" by 3 3/8\" and is mounted on its original, flat, orange colored card mount. It is a wonderful view of a group of Sioux Women and Children posed for the photographer in front of a traditional Sioux Tepee on an open plain.
This very rare and fascinating, original Stereoview Photograph is in very good condition. The Photographs exhibit sharp focus, strong contrast and rich tonality. While both the Photos and the Card Mount are generally clean, there is some light foxing to the Images and some edge wear to the card mount.
A rare and quite wonderful, Stereoview Photo of a Sioux Indian Camp and a fantastic addition to any collection!!
