Rare and original, 1870\'s Native American Pueblo Indian Stereoview Photograph of a Woman carrying a water jar on her head standing in a communal area of a village with two ovens. The Image is titled in the negative \"367. Pueblo Women Carrying Water”. The View as published by the Continent Stereoscopic Company of New York.

This wonderful Native American Indian Stereo Photo measures approx. 6 7/8\" by 4 1/4\" and is mounted on its original, buff colored, flat card mount. It is a wonderful view of a beautiful, young Pueblo woman wearing two squash-blossom type necklaces and balancing a pottery water jar on her head. Behind her there are two, beehive shaped communal ovens.

This very rare and original, Pueblo Indian Stereoview Photograph is in very good condition. The Photographs are generally clean and crisp and exhibit sharp focus and good contrast and tonality although both images are a bit light. The images are generally clean and crisp but the card mount has edge chips, edge wear and some toning as can be seen in the scans below.

A very rare and wonderful, 1870\'s Native American Pueblo Indian Stereoview Photograph of a Woman carrying a water jar on her head and a fantastic addition to any collection!!
