Very nice pair of Spink CDV portraits of a gentleman with his walking stick and journal with painted backdrop.

Henry Spink (1840-1892) opened his first photographic studio in 1864 in Birghton. He was later joined by his son who went on around 1889 to open his own photographic concern. Sarah Spink, Henry senior’s wife, kept the studio open until her death in 1899 while Junior maintained his business until the 1930s.
