This is a leaf from a large Koran, Northern India, 1874, on paper (320 x 200 mm.). There are eleven lines to the page, first, sixth and eleventh line of each page written in red naskhi script, the remainder of text on each page is written in black naskhi script, the word Allah is selected out in red ink throughout, a cluster of three red dots between verses, inner margins ruled in blue and red, catchwords in red in wide margins, illuminated devices in margins The four (4) additional leaves included in this leaf lot are text only and do not contain any decorations or embellishments. verso : eleven lines of black naskhi script.
