this is a delightful Victorian Children’s book illustrating Pet Animals, including Cats, Dogs, Rabbits, Horses, Deer, Squirrels, etc, with accompanying verse in nice bright chromlithographic colours, , a large format measuring 11.5 inches by 9 inches approx. with decorative cloth covers with gilt decorationCONDITION
the covers have some corner and spine end rubbing wear with some mild loss to the cloth, a small lightened spot to the cloth on lower corner of upper board, internally some cracking to inner joints with some mild evidence of an old glued repair, old ownership inscriptions to front endpaper, foxing and marking to endpapers, some creasing to text pages with some mild offsetting from opposing illustration, a few edge tears with no loss, one with a small paper repair, some occasional marking,
