For sale is the British South Africa Medal, with 1879 clasp. Correctly named to 29/2052 Pte E Frith, of the 58th regt of foot, who is on the medal roll.
The 58th regt fought at the battle of Ulundi, the final battle in the Zulu war, where the above clasp was earned.
The 58th went on to fight in the first Anglo Boer war in 1880, and suffered heavy losses in the battle of Laings Nek in 1881.
This medal is in very fine condition, other than some slight bruising on the rim. Ribbon and clasp are to the best of my knowledge, original and unmessed with.
