Elegant 1880s Miniature Paper & tinsel VictorianRed Suited Santa bringing Presents & Tree

Made in Germany.

Cardboard back in rectangular shape.

Gold lamettatinsel at bottom.

Goldtinsel loop at top to hang on tree, as well as at the bottom.

Santa is dressed in a long red fur coat.

He has a rope tied around his waist.

And hanging from this rope are toys: puppet, boat, balls, etc.

Snow on the ground.

So much detail in a miniature paper ornament.

These are magnificent examples of German printing process employed before World War I which was so perfected… fantastic detail…–well over 110 years old. I put them under the magnifying glass and there are dots upon dots upon dots, indicating a 24 to 26 color plate printing process which was employed up to the start of World War I. I guarantee that they are old. They are not reproductions. They have been in our personal collection for decades. These paper ornaments being listed this evening are fabulous. Really works of Art.
