Made before \"Royal Warrant\" was granted in 1901, creating the new designated name of \"Royal Doulton\".

Dainty & Feminine, Scalloped

in the \"Bernice\" pattern~
Softly patterned and colored, feminine, ever so modest, Victorian dainty sprays, and enduring~
A quadrant of small transfer sprays of pale lavender-pink roses,
with the deeper rosey-pink hand decorated over the pale transfer,
....also with tiny grey-green leaves fading into the white field,
and scrolling pale tan-brown transfer border,...the ends of the platter having molded scrolls in the clay body,
to make it easier to carry the platter when fully laden, as well as enhance the decorations~ISSUES DOES HAVE:
...Normal utensil marks as age commensurate
...Rub wear from handling/washing at edge to border decoration
...I think this must have had gold at edge,
as there are only tiny traces of it now, in the nooks of the scalloping~ (see edge photo)
...So GOLD IS GONE..
And just as pretty without it!!
Remarkably good white color yet, a strong good glaze!No Cracks, No hairlines, Nor fractures, No chips, No nicks, No stains, just 120 yr old shelf wear on back,
as well as random age shallow marks and scratches to backside of course~
