Very rare and original, 1885 Civil War General in Chief and President Ulysses S. Grant Funeral Services Broadside. This fascinating, original Broadside was published at Ipswich, Massachusetts on the occasion of Memorial Services for the President.

This very rare Broadside measures approx. 11 3/4\" by 16 3/4\" and is dated August 8th, 1885. It is printed on a very delicate paper stock and is titled in bold black letters “The Nation\'s Dead / Funeral Services of Gen. Grant\". The Broadside features a thick black border and includes an \"Order of Exercises\" for the Funeral Services as well as a listing of the Committee of Arrangements and instructions for the closing of businesses in the City..

This very rare and original, 1885 Ulysses S. Grant Funeral Service Broadside is in good to very good, original condition - the strike is crisp and bold and the sheet is generally clean and crisp but does have some edge chipping as can be seen in the scans below.
