Michael Bryan(1757–1821), art historian and dealer. His Biographical and Critical Dictionary of Painters and Engravers was published in parts between 1813 and 1816.

CONDITION

The binding of the text block is tight and firm. The inner hinges are strained. Thefront inner hinge of volume two has failed, and is readily repaired. There is mild wear to the extremities, including bumping.Internally the pages are clean and bright with slight age toning to the page edges.There areseveral small spots on the first and last couple of pages. Overall the condition (apart from the hinge) is very good.
