A bit of light wear to edges of wraps, otherwise clean, tight, and fine.

A fascinating, wide-ranging sale of more than 500 lots representing the variety of categories noted in the extended subtitle above. Among the lots listed are hundreds of Native American implements and weapons; “a Chest formerly owned by Gen. Burgoyne, and brought by him to this country early in 1777, and capture at his surrender in October of that year”; “a tooth of Lovelace, the Tory, taken on the Wagman farm and hanged at Schuylerville”; “Buttons and piece of coat worn by Truman Wilcox, a drummer boy in the War of 1812”; “Relic of the Chicago Fire, glass from the Mechanics Bank”; “Lava pottery from Pompeii”; “Tooth of the Sperm Whale”; “Tea-pot of black embossed ware; taken from the house of Joe Smith, the Mormon; rare pottery, the ware being black throughout”; “Narrow sword, with ivory handle and brass guard.
