The Scarlet Book of Freemasonry charges that for centuries Freemasons have been object of a bitter persecution, and as a result large numbers of them have suffered torture and death in defense of their principles.

Revealed between these covers is the darker side of Freemasonry ; secret information that many would like buried forever. It includes accounts of imprisonment, torture and martyrdom of Freemasons and Knights Templars during the six hundred years prior to the book\'s publication: Claims of hangings, beatings, body-stretching, being burned at the stake, kidnappings, imprisonments, murders and other horrific tortures carried out by the Roman Catholic Church against Freemasons and Knights Templars are found in these pages.

The second part of this book includes an authentic account of the education, remarkable career, and tragic death of the renowned philosopher Pythagoras. The schools established by Pythagoras at Crotona and other cities, have been considered by many writers as the models after which Masonic Lodges were subsequently constructed.
