Up for sale, an 1888 promotional handkerchief for Benjamin Harrison, candidate for president, and Levi Mortonas his running mate. Portrait bandanna made of cotton and printed in red and dark blue (maybe black) colors. Approximate measurements are 18\" inches tall by 19\" inches wide. Top and bottom are finished in hemstitched white thread. \"PROTECTION HOME INDUSTRIES\" through high tariffs republican slogan promised acts relating to coining silver, regulating monopolies and restricting imports...sound familiar???It\'s a 129 year old original so the textile has some fabric separation and missing cloth at top left and bottom right areas(see photos). Also, it was folded into a frame many years ago so there is a very pronounced crease at bottom of bandanna (photos show this as discoloration because of flash).
