This token (or fob) is a souvenir of the successful 1888 campaign for the U. S. presidency by Republican Benjamin Harrison, who defeated the Democratic incumbent Grover Cleveland. The obverse has a bust of Harrison, with the date 1888 andGEN. BENJAMIN HARRISON along the rim. The reverse has the words REPUBLICAN CANDIDATE FOR PRESIDENT. The token is holed (as issued?) for use as a pendant or fob. This itemis composed of brass, and it measures approximately 22 mm (7/8\") in diameter.

This item is in very good to fine condition, with relatively light wear and toning, and it remains bright.
