Interesting violin With original label George T Niles Maker No 3 Watervale,NY 1889.Itis 358 MM body length.Has Lions head scroll with 2 teeth.The top is crack free as are the ribs.The back has a crack from the right of the button down4 3/16 inch long.The back is loose at the button and upper block so the neck angle is down and the fingerboard touches the top.There are a few areas where the ribs need glued to the top or back.The neck is no cracks the peg box has a mark at one hole that looks like a crack but I believe was a hair in the varnish.The pegs do not match or fit well.Interesting violin made almost 130 years ago.Pretty birds eye maple back and nice perfling.Please check the photo\'s and ask questions.
