An early Victorian Christmas Tree candle lantern. Lantern is all original, has its original bail hanger, plus some additional old wire to secure it to a Feather Tree or Christmas tree branch. Small in size, measuring approximately 2 1/8 inches across the bottom x approx. 3 3/4 inches tall excluding the bail. Made of tin with its original 4 glass panels. Panels retain their original paint wash to simulate stained glass. Colors are a mix of reds and yellows. This item is estate fresh, untouched, and no attempt has been made to clean it. Original tin candle holder inside bottom. Very good early condition, no cracks or damage to the glass. Taken in a sunny room, some reflections of light showing on glass.
